Exercise, where to start?

Level 1

  • Getting started on an exercise routine can be a bit daunting.  You may push too hard too fast, and then become frustrated with the soreness that results.  You may hold back and not feel like you are doing enough.  You may not have even started, but are ready to make a plan.  In any scenario, taking a step back, learning about your own body, and then structuring a plan around that is a great place to start.
  • In this course, you will start off in the first lesson by completing a series of self-screens to see if you have a complete or incomplete check-list for the “must haves” in order to exercise with low injury risk.  This checklist will turn into your personalized report card to keep track of the range of motion, strength, mobility, endurance, and coordination that are required to complete basic cardio and strength training with a low risk of injury.
  • In the following three lessons you will learn strategies for how to fill in your missing gaps.
  • You will end the course having built an individualized program to help you get started with a well-rounded program, that you can continue to grow from as time passes.
  • Cost is $25/ class for the 4 week-series. The entire series must be paid for in advance to participate totaling $100

Level 2:

Learn specificity to building your exercise routine with:

  • TRX straps for core, upper body, and lower body strengthening
  • Free weights and kettle bells for core, upper body, and lower body strengthening
  • Using unstable surfaces such as balance boards and Bosu Balls
  • Body weight support strengthening

These courses are provided in a digital format, however, if you have a group of 5+ that want to take it in person, you can schedule that with Dr. Jess via email ([email protected]).
