Dr. Jess
Jessica Grochowsky
PT, DPT, MTC, CLT, CMTPT
Dr. Jess graduated from Stetson University with her Bachelor’s in Rehabilitative Studies and then continued on to her graduate work at the University of St. Augustine where she earned a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Her continued education since graduation has led to her a specialty in Oncological Rehabilitation with a focus on Breast Cancer Recovery, in addition to the treatment of complex musculoskeletal disorder and lymphedema. She has completed advanced certification in Manual Therapy (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine; is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT)through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, has completed certification in Oncological Rehabilitation through PORi, and has finished her certification in Dry Needling (CMTPT) through Myopain Seminars. Additionally, she has taken continuing education courses in the treatment of vestibular disorders, spine-related dysfunction, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and extremity dysfunction.
Dr. Jess and her husband relocated to Jacksonville in the summer of 2018 in order to return to her home state and raise their sons around family. Jessica and her husband enjoy living an outdoor lifestyle including running, biking, gardening, kayaking, tennis, hiking, and camping. As a Physical Therapist Jessica greatly enjoys assisting others in reaching their goals of returning to the activity that is enjoyed and fulfilling to them.

PT, CLT
Alecia is native to the Jacksonville area. She graduated from Bishop John J Snyder High School and decided to stay in Jacksonville for college, attending UNF, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Following UNF she progressed her education by attending Kaiser University and earned her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
She worked with Dr. Jess during her final internship in school and was immediately hired on to be an integral part of her treatment team. Dr. Jess and Alecia have continued to work side by side ever since.
Alecia is proficient in the management of orthopedic injuries and has advanced skills in the treatment of dancing-related injuries. Additionally, she is a certified lymphedema therapist and a member of the oncology rehabilitation team. She has a passion for assisting all patients to return to their highest level of function.
When she is not at Core Essentials you can find her at the dance studio. She started dancing ballet at the age of 3 and moved to her current studio at the age of 7 to pursue other types of dance. Not only does she continue to dance but she is an assistant dance instructor at her studio. If she is not at the dance studio or at the clinic, she will most likely be hanging out with her favorite mouse at Walt Disney World. She has been an avid Disney fan since she was a little thing.

After relocating to Jacksonville from a small town in New York, Devin graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in 2015. He later graduated from the University of North Florida with his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and has found a passion in physical therapy and personal training. As a Certified Personal Trainer, Devin takes great care to assist patients in their health and wellness journey. Devin’s passion for physical fitness is evident in all that he does. When he isn’t at Core Essentials, you might catch him on the UNF campus furthering his knowledge of all things fitness.
In his spare time, Devin can be found with his fiancée Taylor and their dog, Kenneth. When he isn't with his family, Devin is running, boxing, or weight lifting. He is also an avid Smash Brothers player and is an officer of the UNF Smash Bros. Club.

Juli May
Juli is the smiling face greeting you on arrival at Core Essentials. When not focused on making you feel seen and welcome, she can be found in the kitchen practicing her passion for baking. Whether it’s milling fresh wheat for breads, muffins and treats or creating organic meal plans for her family, the kitchen is where she shines.
Prior to relocating to Jacksonville, she worked with Bread Beckers, a supplier of whole wheat, baking and cooking supplies in the Metro Atlanta Suburbs. Now that her children are grown and making their way in the world, she’s focused on spoiling her husband and sweet Husky puppies, Bear and Willow.
